Operations Manager, Autonomy

The role of the Operations Manager, Autonomy is to lead and inspire a team to achieve outstanding results in building autonomous mining capabilities.

This encompasses driving success in autonomous mining initiatives by monitoring project operations and identifying areas of risk. Effective management of project costs and commercial acumen are also crucial in decision making.

A key aspect of this role involves building strong relationships with project teams, stakeholders, and external partners through effective communication skills.

Additionally, the Operations Manager, Autonomy will be responsible for managing OEMs, dealers, and communication network suppliers. Developing governance systems and procedures as required is also an essential part of this role.

To succeed in this position, candidates should have completed an Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications/experience and possess 5+ years of experience in a relevant engineering role at a principal level, with expertise in Autonomous Haulage. Demonstrated leadership capability, autonomous haulage project delivery and implementation experience, systems thinking ability, experience with autonomous system technologies, assets, and/or mine planning are also highly valued.
