Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our national Positive Behaviour Support Team. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll work in a collaborative environment with a strong team of qualified PBS Leaders, providing community, clinic, and telehealth-based services to NDIS participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with participants and key stakeholders to understand their needs and goals.
  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviour.
  • Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans that incorporate evidence-based strategies to reduce restrictive practices.
  • Provide training and education to stakeholders on behaviour support techniques and strategies.
  • Regularly review and monitor progress, making adjustments to Behaviour Support Plans as needed.
Requirements
  • Proficient, Advanced, or Specialist letter of suitability.
  • Experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, including conducting FBAs, writing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans, and working with restrictive practices.
  • Preferably 3+ years of experience working in behaviour support.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Social, Disability, Teaching, or Social Sciences).
  • A learning mindset and commitment to continuous development.
  • Experience supervising or coaching others, or willingness to develop clinical leadership skills.
  • NDISWC/WWCC (or willingness to apply).
  • Current Australian driver's license and ability to travel with own vehicle.
