Senior Mental Health Professional

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking a Senior Clinician to join the Youth Access Team in Parkville.
Key Responsibilities- Provide triage, assessment, crisis intervention and clinical treatment to young people with complex mental ill health.
- Lead and supervise staff; mentor team members; participate in daily operations; support risk management and care planning.
- Collaborate with the YAT Manager, Team Leaders and Consultant Psychiatrists to deliver youth-focused care; support clinical leadership as needed.
- Contribute to safe, person-centred care, including safety planning and suicide prevention; participate in handovers and team huddles.
- Work rotating shifts; coordinate referrals to longer-term services as required.
- Engage with young people, families and significant others within an early intervention framework.
- Eligible disciplines: RPN Grade 4 / Occupational Therapist, Social Worker and Psychologist Grade 3; relevant registration and qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in tertiary mental health; demonstrated ability to function autonomously and collaboratively with leaders.
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills; motivated by youth-focused care.
