The Department of Education seeks experienced and passionate English Instructors to inspire students at Yanchep Secondary College.

About the Position

We are looking for dedicated English Instructors who can motivate students to achieve their best in a supportive learning environment.

As an English Instructor, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons catering to diverse student needs, including those with disabilities and special requirements.

You will collaborate with the English Learning Area team to develop effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and academic achievement.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the community.

They will possess a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to adapt new ideas and approaches that enhance student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to diverse student needs
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to promote student engagement and academic achievement
  • Collaborate with the English Learning Area team to achieve shared goals and objectives
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and the community
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and success
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before commencing
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department's Screening Unit before commencing
