Network Infrastructure Manager

The successful Network and Server Operations Team Lead will oversee the delivery, integration, and sustainment of secure, high-performance ICT systems in support of Australian Defence Force mission planning capability.
This key leadership role is responsible for managing both technical direction and day-to-day operations of network and server environments across fixed and deployed Defence contexts.
In this position, you will lead a team of skilled technicians to maintain and evolve critical infrastructure, including physical servers, networking hardware, system configurations, and software environments.
You'll provide technical leadership across system imaging, security compliance, scripting, and data support while ensuring alignment with Defence ICT accreditation standards and operational requirements.
Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of technicians, conducting performance reviews, setting team objectives, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in Defence ICT environments, MS Windows Imaging, MS Windows security, and MS Windows Server Platforms.
They will also demonstrate strong technical and administrative skills, including scripting, database development using SQL Server, and advanced office computing application knowledge.
