About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Officer to join our team at Brisbane Catholic Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and operating our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of equipment and fixtures
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any issues or concerns
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize disruptions
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff and students, responding promptly to requests and concerns
Requirements
  • Current driver's license
  • Basic handyman skills and experience with maintenance and mechanical work
  • Awareness of workplace health and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Attributes
  • Trade background in carpentry or construction
  • Construction induction white card
  • ACDC chemical license
  • Tractor driving skills
