At UGL, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on large Building Services Projects in Western Australia, supporting significant growth in 2025.

As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support for design, construction, testing, and commissioning of electrical and combined services for nominated projects.
  • Contributing to the production of project programs, quality plans, and design management documentation.
  • Ensuring design outputs comply with safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements.
  • Leading or supporting procurement for designated work areas.
  • Managing short- and long-term planning for works, including submittals, start-up planning, and programming.
  • Supporting area managers in preparing accurate monthly reports.
  • Coordinating elements for designated work areas.
  • Developing and monitoring KPIs and productivity analysis against program and budget.
  • Developing and monitoring quality documentation completion against specifications and PSTR.
  • Collaborating with site-based personnel, including supervisory staff, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years' experience in Electrical Engineering, with a combination of practical and design experience.
  • Applying engineering principles to comply with project scope and technical requirements (PSTR).
  • Demonstrated experience in planning up to 4 weeks ahead and weekly reporting against cost and time.
  • Strong communication skills, including negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to establish effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Building Codes, utilities requirements, and building services to be implemented in residential buildings.
  • Proven experience in design engineering from concept to completion, with a full understanding of local construction methodologies in residential development.
  • Experience working on large accommodation villages made up of modular buildings or similar types of projects.
  • Australian driver's license.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organising and prioritising demands, handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously, setting and meeting deadlines, and following through in a fast-paced environment.
