About the Role

This role empowers residents' choices and independence through a compassionate, empathetic, and supportive approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with residents and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide assistance with daily living activities such as eating, showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication assistance.
  • Practice duty of care and promote personal safety and risk management.
  • Promote dignity of risk and empower residents' choices and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external service providers to provide clinical solutions.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures during the normal course of carrying out duties and responsibilities.
Requirements

Cert III in Individual Support (highly regarded if you also have Cert IV).

Previous aged care experience (highly regarded).

The ability to work as part of a team and take direction as required.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes.
