About this role

  • The Clinical Director Anaesthetics will be a key member of the Surgical & Perioperative Division, leading clinical teams to provide high-quality Anaesthetic services.

This senior leadership position involves developing and elevating the profile of services for our health service. The Clinical Director is responsible for creating a departmental plan aiming to develop a contemporary Anaesthetics department prepared to meet community needs over the next 10 years.

Key responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing coordinated clinical services and service plans aligned with our strategic priorities.
  • Leading multidisciplinary health professionals and administrative staff.
  • Implementing complex strategies to build support from internal and external stakeholders.

We are seeking applicants who possess:

  • Registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia with AHPRA.
  • Current Fellowship of the Australasian College or other relevant fellowship.
  • Demonstrated management and operational skills to lead clinical teams.
  • Ability to implement complex strategies to build support from internal and external stakeholders.
