Construction Project Manager

BESIX Watpac is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team in Rockhampton and deliver a large processing facility project.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Organizing on-site activities, ensuring subcontractors have access to work faces for materials and equipment, including coordination of materials, personnel, and equipment handling plant.
  • In consultation with the Project Manager, allocating necessary site resources and confirming availability of all required resources.
  • Reviewing the construction programme with the Project Manager, re-sequence activities as necessary to achieve the programmed completion date.
  • Implementing and policing Company policies and practices on safety, industrial relations, and quality assurance at the work face.
  • Evaluating quality and compliance with standards and contract documents.

The ideal candidate will require:

  • A relevant trade qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering successful construction projects.
  • A proven ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
  • An ability to build and lead an effective results-driven team.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in high-pressure environments.
