Food Service Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the position of Food Service Assistant.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up each servery and dining area according to established standards.
  • Preparing trolleys for tea breaks and supper.
  • Cleaning dishes and maintaining a clean environment in accordance with food safety guidelines.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of areas where food is prepared and served.
  • Assisting with meal preparation as required.
  • Monitoring and recording key aspects of the Food Safety Plan, including temperatures and cleaning schedules.

About You:

  • Prior experience in providing catering assistance or hospitality is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Food Standards and Food Safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately and to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member, prioritise tasks, and adapt to various ways of supporting residents.
  • Digital literacy.
