Job Description

This exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Consultant is based in Darwin, where you will play a key role in supporting various projects across defense, government, mining, and oil and gas sectors.

You will be responsible for preparing and managing high-quality environmental impact assessments, strategic assessments, and environmental management plans.

Additionally, you will provide expert advice, reports, and proposals to clients, develop effective relationships with stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage environmental impact assessments, constraints analyses, and strategic assessments
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans and assist in resource allocation and budgeting
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on environmental matters
  • Mentor and support junior team members

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in an environmental science or related field
  • Strong experience in environmental advisory and impact assessment, including relevant legislation and approval frameworks
  • Excellent commercial acumen and emotional intelligence to build strong client relationships
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $120,000 - $150,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
