Job Summary

The successful candidate will have relevant management experience of children and young people with complex needs, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. The role involves managing staff, coordinating day-to-day care, and ensuring quality life story work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Team: Provide support, supervision, and coaching to the team of Therapeutic Youth Workers to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent care and support to children and young people.
  • Roster Management: Manage and maintain rosters and staffing levels to ensure that we have the right people in the right place at the right time.
  • Care Coordination: Coordinate the day-to-day care of children and young people, including monitoring their progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • Documentation: Coordinate and monitor the implementation of documentation, plans, and reviews to ensure that we are meeting all necessary requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant Experience: Relevant management experience of children and young people with complex needs, such as trauma-based backgrounds or disabilities.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Skillset: A strong skillset in areas such as crisis management, conflict resolution, and cultural competency.
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or education.
