">The Investment Banking Associate role in our Financing and Advisory Group is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support the origination and execution of structured finance transactions, particularly within the Mining and Metals sectors. ">About the Role
">We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Investment Banking Associate. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, or a related field, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities will include:

- Preparation and maintenance of financial models supporting advisory mandates, including creating and running financial scenarios and sensitivities.">
- Interrogation of financial models for financing mandates, including creating and running sensitivities and checking integrity.">
- Review and supervision of financial modeling tasks undertaken by junior staff, as well as completing more complex modeling tasks where required.">
- Staying up-to-date with developments across sectors, particularly in Mining and Metals finance, as well as current transactions and opportunities in the market.">
- Providing day-to-day transaction support, including structuring, pricing, preparing credit applications, undertaking detailed financial analyses and due diligence analyses, and assisting the deal team leader to provide best-in-class lending and advisory services to the client base.">
- Respecting all relevant compliance practices and other internal requirements in relation to the execution of advisory and lending transactions.">
- Managing internal processes relating to the arranging and advisory business, including updating databases, credit application writing, and completing relevant internal system-based processes.">
- Identifying potential marketing opportunities and preparing pitch material, including reviewing feasibility studies, detailed analysis of financial models, etc.">
- Establishing a network of contacts at key clients and prospective clients.">
- Supervision and development of junior team members, including delegation and review of certain tasks suitable to the skills and experience of those junior team members, while maintaining a high quality of overall team execution.">
Salary and Benefits
">The estimated annual salary for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$150,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a comprehensive employee assistance program.

">To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A university degree in a relevant discipline, such as finance, accounting, or a related field.">
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the Mining and Metals sector or another structured finance environment.">
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including strong financial modeling abilities.">
- Experience in generating pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients' needs.">
- Strong numerical skills, with an advanced understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements, and cashflows.">
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.">
- Able to contribute to the team's efforts to build and maintain trusted client relationships.">
- Consistency and rigour in following up on clients' needs and acting upon team priorities.">
- Display a sense of ownership in the business and pride in the quality and accuracy of work presented internally and transactions executed for clients.">
- Discipline and team collaboration to develop business adapted to clients' and markets' needs.">
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines, and deliver on team priorities.">
- Experience of working with people with diverse international backgrounds and acting on team priorities.">
