About This Role

This position is responsible for conducting high-level psychological assessments and providing interventions to individuals impacted by acute/severe mental health problems within a multidisciplinary team.

As a senior professional in older persons community mental health service, you will be expected to make clinical decisions based on valid and reliable evidence and serve as a reference point for other clinicians in the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality evidence-based clinical/neuropsychology assessments, therapy, and interventions to older adults with psychiatric disorders.
  • Collaborate with consumers, their families, carers, and other service providers to achieve identified consumer outcomes within a strong recovery framework.
  • Provide clinical supervision to less experienced psychologists and students on postgraduate placement in accordance with PsyBA guidelines.
Essential Requirements:
  • Vaccination against certain vaccine-preventable diseases as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
