Maintenance Director Role

This pivotal leadership position requires an experienced and proactive professional to oversee on-site maintenance operations at a manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will lead a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring that all plant equipment and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and in line with production requirements.

  • Lead the maintenance team to ensure effective execution of preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximise equipment uptime and minimise production disruptions.
  • Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs, including downtime, response times, and asset reliability.
  • Manage maintenance resources to ensure cost-effective procurement of spare parts and services.
  • E nsure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Liaise with departments including Production, Engineering, and HSE to support operational goals.
  • Coach and develop team members to build technical capability and foster a strong safety culture.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a similar Maintenance Manager role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Trade qualification or relevant engineering degree desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and mentoring direct reports.
  • Excellent understanding of preventative maintenance systems, lean practices, and asset management principles.
  • Confident communicator with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems.
