Spirits Connoisseur

We are seeking a skilled Spirits Connoisseur to join our entrepreneurial community of Drinks Specialists at Dan Murphy's Smithfield.

• The successful candidate will provide customers with inspiring information about our spirit selection, engaging them in an authentic way and sharing product knowledge.
• This role requires a customer-centric spirits connoisseur who is eager to continue their learning and share their passion with customers and team members alike.

As a Spirits Connoisseur, you will:

1. Actively engage customers in store, sharing product knowledge and providing end-to-end service.
2. Collaborate with the store leadership team to set up and facilitate customer events.
3. Advocate for My Dan's loyalty by engaging with customers to understand benefits and product offerings.
4. Instil your love and passion for spirits into every interaction and use this to develop team member product knowledge.
5. Undertake various in-store tasks, including customer service and inventory management as well as duty management.
6. Contribute to store sales planning processes by sharing your specialist product knowledge and recommendations on product lines.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

1. A real desire to create memorable customer moments and the ability to work across key customer hours.
2. Proficiency in the world of spirits and a good understanding of wine and beer.
3. A thirst for knowledge and a love to learn about new and emerging trends and categories.
4. The ability to authentically impart your knowledge, inspiring customers and team to continue their adventure of discovery.
5. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
6. Experience in a drinks-related role, including the spirits industry, bar work or liquor retail.

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (dependent on experience).
