The role of an Education Support Officer is to make a valuable contribution to the lives and interests of young adults in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support teachers with planning and implementation of student routines, ensuring effective communication between teachers and staff. Provide routine administrative support for educational programs and services.

  • Assist with coordinating and supervising students, both individually and in groups.
  • Undertake tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with teachers, staff, and students to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

Coordinate and implement programs that promote student engagement, participation, and achievement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Capacity to provide high-level support to teachers and staff.
Skills and Qualifications

Relevant qualifications and/or certifications may be required, such as Registered Nurse or other specialised student/teacher support roles.

Experience working with young adults and education teams is highly desirable.
