The City of Launceston is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader Recreation and Parks to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the delivery of open space planning, park and reserve management, recreation and sporting facility management, and more.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of professionals in the delivery of open space planning, park and reserve management, recreation and sporting facility management, and more.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and accessibility of our parks and recreation facilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective delivery of projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, local businesses, and government agencies.
- A relevant qualification from a tertiary institution, or substantial relevant work experience with the desire to undertake formal qualifications.
- Substantial experience in the management of parks, reserves, or recreation.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage stakeholders across a broad group of interests.
- Experience in project and asset management.
