Graduate Cybersecurity Specialist

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Graduate Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. This role will provide an exciting opportunity for you to develop your skills in cybersecurity threat analysis and response.

 

  • This role will involve tracking and analyzing security alerts from various sources, identifying potential threats, recommending fixes, and coordinating responses with internal and external teams.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related disciplines, and proven leadership skills through work, internships, or extracurricular activities.

 

  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Writing clear reports on security incidents and recommendations for mitigation.
    • Performing quality checks on playbooks and documentation to ensure they meet the required standards.
    • Building strong working relationships with peers and clients.

 

During this 18-month graduate program, you will rotate through roles such as Security Engineer, Security Analyst, Threat Analyst, and Intelligence Analyst. You will gain valuable experience and knowledge in these areas, preparing you for a successful career in cybersecurity.

 

Requirements

 

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

 

  • Final-year students or recent graduates in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related disciplines (graduating by early 2026).
  • Proven leadership skills through work, internships, or extracurricular activities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.
