We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team at Mapletree. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Accounting function in our local office and liaising with our HQ finance team based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Payable Management
- Verify and ensure complete documentation of all vendor invoices, including proper approval and relevant supporting documents in SAP, in accordance with Group Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare instruction letters to Trustees for payment release and liaise with Trustees on any queries.
- Monitor Purchase Orders and Goods Received, and follow up on outstanding PO and accrued items.
- Ensure all vendor invoices are paid promptly and correctly.
- Follow up and monitor AP-related queries promptly.
- Review invoices and supporting documents provided by external property managers, highlighting and addressing any issues that arise.
- Perform variance analysis relating to expenses.
- Assist in improvements to policies, internal controls, systems, and processes.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects, such as SAP implementation and testing, setting up project companies, tax, and treasury work.
- Assist in yearly statutory audit, drafting financial statements in accordance with statutory regulatory requirements and applicable accounting standards.
- Assist in month-end closure of accounts.
- Perform credit review analysis of vendors, consultants, and customers in accordance with Group SOP.
- Degree in Accountancy with at least 3-4 years of relevant experience in Property accounting/AP.
- Meticulous, analytical, independent, and possesses excellent communication skills.
- Ability to think out of the box, work well in a team, and deliver quality work within stipulated timelines.
- Knowledge of AASB16, GST, taxation, and other accounting regulatory requirements is a pre-requisite.
- Experience in SAP/MRI would be advantageous.
