Job Summary:

The Justice and Community Safety Directorate ACT is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Learning and Development Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating learning and development programs for our volunteer workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality training materials using various mediums
  • Manage the assessment validation process for the ACTSES
  • Identify current and future training needs to ensure operational capability
  • Ensure compliance with VET and legislative obligations
  • Represent the ACTSES at forums, meetings, and working groups as required
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in incident management activities under the Australian Inter-agency Incident Management System (AIIMS)

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV or qualifications in Training and Assessment
  • Background in working or volunteering in an emergency services organization
  • Qualifications and/or experience in a field relating to emergency management
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
  • Background and Security clearance checks
  • Willingness to work after hours and on weekends

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances. The successful candidate will be required to work after hours and on weekends, including attending meetings, supporting training, and participating in incident management activities.

Selection Criteria:

  • Application and referee reports

Notes:

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
