About the Role

The Manager, Service Programs, Healthy Waterways will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Melbourne Water's commitments for meeting Healthy Waterways Strategy outcomes.

This will involve developing capital works, maintenance programs, and working with the community and stakeholders to identify partnerships and impactful grants.

The successful candidate will have experience in waterway and natural asset management, as well as knowledge of asset management processes, risk assessment and management techniques, and project and program management.

They will also have strong financial and commercial acumen skills to control, budget and forecast expenditure, and the ability to lead change and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.

The Manager will be responsible for developing future-focused 5 to 10 year investment plans for waterway services across the greater Melbourne region, and for leading the implementation of an asset management approach for the waterways network.

They will also be responsible for leading co-delivery partnerships with key stakeholders and community, and for developing management regimes that will protect and enhance the social and environmental condition and function of waterway assets.

The successful candidate will hold a tertiary degree in science or environmental engineering or related discipline and significant industry experience.
