Senior Financial Accountant Position Overview

Professional Search Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of financial accounting, ensuring accuracy in financial statements, and supporting both internal and external audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statements:
    • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Audit Support:
    • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for the executive team, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery.
  • System Improvement:
    • Support system improvement initiatives and the integration of new financial systems, contributing to the enhancement of financial processes.
  • Asset Management:
    • Process asset transactions, including asset acquisitions, disposals, revaluations, and reconciliations.
  • General Ledger:
    • Prepare general journals and perform reconciliations to maintain accuracy in financial records.
  • Management Accounting Support:
    • Assist with mid-year budget reviews and analyses.
    • Collate data for fees and charges.
    • Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, with a solid understanding of financial statements, audits, and asset management.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems; experience with system integration is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
