About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Team Lead to join our team at Babcock. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of electrical engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of assigned activities and artefacts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee team activities, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Produce and review technical documentation, securely maintaining records, and presenting findings to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to operational capability and provide guidance on multi-domain engineering decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, managing product safety implications, and conducting technical risk assessments.
  • Lead process improvements, foster professional development within your team, and collaborate effectively across technical teams and the wider organization.
  • Innovate and develop sustainable solutions that drive continuous improvement and benefit both our organization and the broader community.
About You

We are looking for a qualified engineer with a bachelor's degree accredited under the Washington Accord or equivalent, making you eligible for Professional Engineer membership. With around six years of experience in technical or engineering roles, you have a proven track record in team management. You possess a strong understanding of the design lifecycle and system integration, and ideally, you have experience managing supplier and sub-contractor specifications.
