Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Ranger to join our Local Laws team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing animal management services, investigating complex matters, and promoting compliance with local laws.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding role that offers a broad spectrum of responsibilities. You will be required to:

  • Investigate dog attacks, illegal breeding, and other complex matters under the Domestic Animals Act 1994
  • Respond to customer requests through Merit
  • Investigate offences and promote compliance under the SGSC Community Local Law, including parking meters in the CBD
  • Provide animal management services, containing loose dogs, ensuring compliance for Declared Dangerous Dogs, securing stock on roads, and adhering to regulations and Codes of Practice
  • Promote responsible pet ownership and engage with the community
  • Fulfill School Crossing Supervisor duties when needed
