About the Position

The NSW Health service is looking for an experienced Trauma-Informed Counsellor to join their team. The successful candidate will work with individuals who have been victims of domestic violence and their non-offending family members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing trauma-informed crisis intervention and response
  2. Coordinating cases, including intake, assessment, case planning, and referral functions
  3. Advocating for clients and liaising with MLHD Health Professionals working in acute and non-acute settings
  4. Collaborating across services to ensure clients receive the necessary support

Requirements:

  • A genuine occupational qualification for this position under section 31H of the Anti-discrimination Act: being a person of female gender
