
Network Safety Engineer

The role of Network Safety Engineer is pivotal in advancing the development, implementation and continuous improvement of bushfire and network safety risk management across multiple electricity networks.
This position necessitates strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and respectful relationships with external partners to ensure network safety commitments are achieved.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the currency of the Bushfire Risk Model to ensure it reflects best practice and accurately represents our risk profile.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to facilitate bushfire mitigation and network safety risk minimisation assessments.
- Develop risk minimisation business cases for initiatives requiring significant investment and advocate internally and externally.
- Conduct network safety risk assessments and technical assessments to identify additional controls to mitigate potential risks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary risk management principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills and organisational and report writing expertise.
- Previous experience in the electricity industry and a solid understanding of electricity safety legislation.
- Ability to work effectively at all levels both internally and externally within the organisation.
