Position Purpose

Fitness Professionals will engage with members and guests to ensure a safe, fun, and fulfilling fitness environment. They will support members in their fitness goals by creating tailored, rewarding, and fun fitness plans that increase member retention.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional fitness instruction to all members and guests.
• Deliver timetabled classes in accordance with training and maintain an immaculate gymnasium.
• Manage customer behavior in line with etiquette guidelines and ensure classes start and end on time.
• Welcome and educate new participants to make them feel comfortable in your class.
• Ensure equipment is used in a safe manner and undertake regular cleaning of equipment on each shift.
• Engage with members outside of classes and encourage attendance to classes.
• Actively support initiatives to retain members and maintain an expert level of knowledge of your chosen classes.
• Support the Head of Fitness and Programs in the delivery of health and fitness programs in accordance with annual plans.
• Ensure all reports, checklists, and procedures are completed and signed off by the Duty Captain.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate 3 in Fitness or GEL equivalent.
• Training in Les Mills, Pilates, or Yoga programs (if relevant).
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Working with Children Check.
• Previous experience in customer service.
