The Merchandise Planning Strategist plays a pivotal role in leading and managing planning teams for the MW division. The primary focus is to oversee the financial performance of MW through sales, gross profit, and stock management.

This position involves collaborating closely with the Buying team to drive the brand's merchandising strategy, particularly regarding range plans and pricing architecture.

The successful candidate will lead, inspire, and cultivate a high-performing team that attracts and retains top talent.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and manage the financial performance of WW according to budget forecasts measured by Sales, Gross Profit, and Stock Management.
  • Collaborate with the Buying team to inform trading decisions through competitor analysis and product intake, ensuring maximum GP.
  • Brief and sign off promotional calendars/advertising in conjunction with Buying, Marketing, and Design.
  • Analyse, recommend, and finalise divisional forecasts by working with the Buying team to develop strategic and corporate viewpoints.
  • Contribute to setting the option plan direction in line with the company design and financial strategy to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate the Planning team to prepare SWOT and post-seasonal review meetings and forward strategy meetings in conjunction with the product team.
