Job Description

We are undergoing a significant technology transformation modernizing our systems and migrating to the cloud. As part of this journey, we seek an experienced DevOps Engineer to help build, support, and enhance our cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

Work closely with the cross-functional Data Platform team collaborating with data engineers, architects, and analysts ensuring infrastructure and pipelines meet the needs of high-performance, scalable, and secure data solutions. Bridge DevOps capabilities with data platform requirements enabling the delivery of robust automated reliable environments for data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Data Platform team designing building maintaining infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines supporting data services analytics machine learning workloads
  • Mentor and guide DevOps and Data Platform team members on automation tooling best practices
  • Assess build new monitoring capabilities for both on-premises and cloud-hosted data environments
  • Design implement automation solutions using Terraform PowerShell Unix scripting container technologies e.g. Kubernetes
  • Manage creation optimization of CI/CD pipelines Octopus Deploy TeamCity Git GitHub Actions
  • Work with tools Grafana Splunk Site24x7 for operational visibility proactive performance management
  • Implement testing automation frameworks for data workflows platform services
  • Collaborate with the Data Platform team on security compliance measures AWS WAFs firewalls access policies
  • Provide 2nd-level DevOps support particularly for data platform-related services applications
  • Support the DevOps Manager Lead delivering project milestones on time high quality

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology Computer Science Engineering related field
  • 5+ years in a DevOps engineering role ideally with experience supporting data platform analytics environments
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices SDLC principles automation
  • Experience with hosting security networking transit gateways
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code CI/CD pipelines container orchestration
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Postgres cloud-based data solutions
  • Background in supporting microservices data-driven applications
