Mental Health Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities- We connect with young people and their families in a genuine and youth-friendly way
- We deliver interventions and coordinate care for mild to moderate mental health concerns
- We conduct assessments and build action plans that address the individual's needs
- We work within a multidisciplinary team to provide centre-based, outreach, or telehealth services
- We participate in community engagement initiatives that benefit young people
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A degree qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Mental Health Nursing
- Registration as a Mental Health Counsellor or Psychotherapist (ACA Level 3+)
- Skills in assessment, risk management, and therapeutic interventions
- A natural ability to connect and communicate with young people
- An understanding of trauma-informed care and a passion for early intervention
