Application Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our team at ASIC. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement secure software development practices.
- Provide guidance on securing applications, APIs, middleware, and development pipelines.
- Lead threat modelling and application architecture review sessions to identify and address security threats.
- Perform application security testing activities, including penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
- Assist in the analysis and remediation of security vulnerabilities and design flaws in application code and configurations.
- Assess and quantify the vulnerabilities and cyber risks of third-party software and components.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced application security professional who is passionate about securing modern software architecture patterns, such as microservices, single-page applications, and serverless environments.
- Experience in secure coding practices and avoiding common security vulnerabilities, such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and cross-site request forgery.
- Knowledge of security testing frameworks and platforms, such as OWASP ASVS and Snyk.
- Experience in securing cloud and containerized environments, CI/CD automation pipelines, APIs, and threat modelling.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java,.NET, Python, or JavaScript.
