Project Cost Controller

This is a challenging role that involves the management and reporting of project costs to support projects across multiple portfolios.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level support to the Finance team and collaborate with Project and Scheduling teams to ensure accurate cost control.
  • Analysis of Cost and Schedule performance, communicating financial insights and project status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Development and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts in collaboration with cost account managers.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and reports to monitor project performance.
  • Ensure financial compliance and accuracy through collaboration with project teams.
  • Support the month-end process with required journals and reconciliations.
  • Support estimating and pricing activities.
  • Recognize areas for continuous improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, or commerce; or equivalent experience in the workforce.
  • Relevant experience in project accounting, management accounting, or cost control roles.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel, advanced functions, PowerPivot, and dashboard management.
  • Ability to adapt to different situations, be proactive, and organize priorities autonomously to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial aspects of diverse projects.
  • Experience in Estimating and Pricing of varying complexity.
  • Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and use of Earned Value Management Systems for project financial management.
