Parks and Gardens Assistant Role

About the Position:

This 3-year apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in horticulture. You will be involved in various tasks such as tree identification, maintenance programs, pruning, and gardening.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about horticulture and have excellent communication and teamwork skills. A valid manual driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred but not mandatory. You should also be physically fit and safety-conscious.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify trees and implement maintenance programs
  • Prune and trim trees
  • Garden and clean work areas

Requirements:

  • Valid manual driver's license (optional)
  • Access to a reliable vehicle (optional)
  • Physical fitness for labor-intensive work
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Great attitude to working outdoors
