Lead Veterinary Nurse Position
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Work collaboratively with a team of veterinarians to provide high-quality surgical nursing care.
    • Develop and deliver clinical training programs for veterinary nurses and clinics.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with clinical standards and provide support for improvement initiatives.
    • Act as a mentor for junior nurses, providing guidance and coaching to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement strategies that drive positive clinical outcomes and align with organizational objectives.
    • Design and deliver comprehensive training plans for clinic teams, focusing on areas such as patient safety and best practice protocols.
    • Present at conferences and seminars to share expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
    • Supervise student placements and internships, providing valuable work experience and mentorship opportunities.
    • Support the recruitment process by assisting with interviews and inductions for Head Nurse positions.

About This Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned veterinary nurse to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical nursing, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to provide education and training to others. A Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing or above is required, along with experience working in a companion animal setting.
