Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at Snaphunt. This is a leadership opportunity to drive the commercial growth of our Australian operations.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for driving the commercial health of the business, providing leadership to the commercial strategy and operations to deliver on annual financial commitments. You will achieve Sales and Margin targets on all customers, develop plans to ensure future profitable growth, and lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve market penetration and sales growth in key retail and supermarket chains.
  • Manage end-to-end sales processes, including new customer acquisition, negotiations, contract management, and closing deals.
  • Liaise with product development teams to actively participate in new product launches based on customer requirements and insights gathered on the ground.
  • Lead launch and de-list calendar planning with site teams and customers.
  • Communicate Order Fill and supply chain challenges to customers and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Monitor raw material supply issues and production-related concerns.
  • Conduct weekly pricing maintenance and cross-check with customers to ensure site pricing accuracy.
  • Report sales vs budget weekly and provide ad hoc reports as required.
  • Work closely with Category Head, Commercial & Site teams to manage the P&L, drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Champion demand-driven business models and ensure alignment across the value chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Honors' Degree in Food Science, Business Management, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in senior commercial roles preferably in FMCG, food retail, or food manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of selling into supermarkets and retail chains, with an established network within this segment in Australia.
  • Strong P&L management skills, hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Passion for the food industry, commitment to building a successful business in a new market.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently, drive business growth with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Estimated Salary Range: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum
