Health and Safety Professional

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in ensuring the well-being of staff. Located in Bathurst, NSW, this position requires someone to develop and implement effective health and safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of health and safety strategies to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Develop internal documentation and safety systems for ISO accreditation.
  • Conduct risk assessments, SWMS, hazard reporting, and proactive safety measures.
  • Maintain health and safety reporting systems and engage with workers to facilitate incident reporting.
  • Conduct internal audits and site inspections across facilities and project sites.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve hazard identification and risk management.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of Work Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Knowledge of acts, regulations, codes of practice, and standards.
  • Operating knowledge or experience in laboratories, geotechnical engineering, or drilling services preferred.
  • Experience in health and safety, preferably on project work.
  • Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Well-organised professional with strong verbal and written communication skills.
