Electrical Maintenance Technician Job

Job Description:

The role of the Electrical Maintenance Technician is to deliver high-quality electrical maintenance and repair services across our water network. This includes fault finding, condition assessment, and renewal of instrumentation equipment.

We are currently seeking a skilled technician to support our works within the Central Region.

About the Role:

This position involves performing and delivering allocated E&I workorders from our maintenance plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Electrical & Instrumentation tasks including fluid flow, pressure measurements, and water quality monitoring equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing administrative tasks and documenting work progression in our computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Traveling and commuting to relevant assets across the network, including attendance of Pre-start meetings.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety, compliance, policy, and procedures.
  • Reporting activities relating to works planned, completed, risks, and issues, with a focus on ongoing improvement of processes to support delivery.
  • Candidates must be willing to undergo a medical and police check as part of the recruitment process.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in either Infrastructure, Water, Oil & Gas industries.
  • Experience as an E&I technician in calibration, pressure testing, and flow meters.
  • Hold a certificate IV or III in Instrumentation.
  • Current C Class Driver Licence.
  • Trade – Electrical certificate.
  • QLD Electrical licence.
  • EEHA - Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical (5-year validity).
  • Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - HLTAID001 (1 year validity).
  • Low Voltage Rescue and CPR Training UETDRRF004 & HLTAID009 (1 year validity).
  • Provide First Aid - HLTAID003 (3-year validity).
  • Confined Space Entry - RIIWHS202E, MSMPER205,MSMPER200 (3-year validity).
  • Working at Heights - RIIWHS204E (2-year validity).
  • Gas test Atmosphere- MSMWHS217 (3-year validity).
