Teaching and Research Opportunities

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the teaching, research and administration within the Canberra School of Professional Studies.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering courses, supervising higher degree by research students, contributing to quality assurance and program review, engaging with industry and professional bodies, supporting students and participating in other administrative duties aligned with school and faculty objectives.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a related discipline, plus relevant work experience. A good track record of research and publication and/or competitive research income in a chosen field is also required. Demonstrated expertise and currency in some of the listed technical aspects of cybersecurity is essential, as well as evidence of teaching and learning design, development, delivery and pastoral care of students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with positive evaluation.

Experience using and designing with educational technologies and flexible delivery platforms is also highly desirable. Highly developed interpersonal and organisational communication skills, and emotional intelligence are essential for this role.

We welcome applicants with strong technical expertise in cyber security and computer science. Areas of interest include but are not limited to cryptography, secure systems cloud computing, threat detection, digital forensics, ethical hacking, and data science.
