Event Staff Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and flexible casual event staff member to join our team.

  • This role involves setting up and packing down event spaces, assisting with equipment loading and unloading, and collaborating with event coordinators and other team members.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Set up event spaces according to specific layouts and instructions
  • Assist with unloading and loading equipment from vans or storage areas
  • Pack up and store event equipment post-event, ensuring all items are accounted for and organized
  • Collaborate with event coordinators, technicians, and other team members to ensure efficient and timely event execution
  • Troubleshoot any setup issues and make on-the-spot adjustments as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the event space during and after setup/breakdown
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols during all stages of setup and teardown
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in event setup, breakdown, or general labor is a plus but not required
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Punctual and dependable with strong time-management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with setting up large-scale events (weddings, corporate events) is a bonus
