Product Design and Technology Teacher Job

This role offers an opportunity to work as a Product Design and Technology teacher in a co-educational, independent school. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching VCE Systems Engineering and PDT (Wood) at the senior levels and be passionate about creating engaging learning experiences for students.

The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing lessons in Product Design and Technology, as well as contributing to the development of the school's curriculum and programs. They will also be expected to participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher interviews and other school events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Product Design and Technology classes to Years 7-12 students
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and programs
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher interviews and other school events

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Education or related field
  • Victorian Institute of Teachers registration
  • Experience teaching Product Design and Technology at secondary level
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging lesson plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
