Financial Risk Strategist

This role focuses on developing and implementing effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice to business units on financial risk assessment and mitigation.
  • BUILDING STRONG PARTNERSHIPS with stakeholders to foster a culture of risk awareness.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive risk profiles, registers, controls, and indicators.
  • Liaising with the Legal team to stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and implementing them in a timely manner.
  • Conducting thorough assurance activities and monitoring of risk processes.

Key skills and experience required:

  • At least 5 years of experience in risk, compliance, and/or assurance within wealth management.
  • Familiarity with wholesale and retail regulatory environments.
  • Experience overseeing advice functions within wealth management.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks and local financial services laws.
