About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Chef to lead our culinary team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to the success of our cafe. If you are passionate about cooking and have the required experience, we would be delighted to welcome you to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and cook a wide range of foods, including soups, salads, entrees, and desserts, according to recipes and quality standards.
* Plan menus and estimate food requirements, ensuring cost-effective and efficient operations.
* Monitor and manage stock levels, placing orders for supplies and ingredients as needed.
* Supervise kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality service.
* Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
* Adapt to dietary requirements and special requests from customers, including allergies and food intolerances.
* Train and supervise kitchen staff and apprentices as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or relevant Diploma. At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed.
* Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work well in a team environment.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and safety.

* Annual Salary: $74,000 to $76,000 AUD plus guaranteed superannuation.
