Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service offers an exciting opportunity for a Lead Specialist in Clinical Operations.

Remuneration: $497,941 p.a. (L25 – L27) or $455,624 p.a. (L18 – L24), with additional benefits including employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., private practice arrangements, and Clinical Managers Allowance level 4.

Job Summary:

The role of Lead Specialist in Clinical Operations is critical to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services at Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of clinical services, providing strategic guidance, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and assume overall clinical responsibility for the Sexual Health Service Stream.
  • Develop and maintain specialist health services to meet the needs of the community.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with contemporary standards and best practices in clinical service delivery.
