Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for leading by example, coaching the team, and supporting the Venue Manager to run an efficient, profitable, and vibrant venue.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and leading the team during shifts, upholding high standards of customer service and team collaboration.
  • Assisting with rosters, training reviews, stock control, and general compliance.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, connecting with guests, resolving issues, and creating positive experiences.
  • Mentoring and training front of house and bar staff, helping train new employees, and contributing to a positive, energetic work culture.
  • Opening and closing the venue, managing end of night reporting and reconciliation, and supporting smooth shift transitions.
  • Tackling unexpected challenges with confidence and a can-do attitude.
  • Supporting and maintaining venue safety, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of hospitality experience, ideally in a leadership or supervisor role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and solutions-focused during busy or high-pressure moments.
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
  • A passion for guest experience and taking pride in your venue.
  • A willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to the team's success.
