Role of a Speech Pathologist:

The speech pathologist will be working in the community with adults who have neurological conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat clients with neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and progressive neurological conditions
  • Develop individualised treatment plans to help clients achieve their goals
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients
  • Conduct regular assessments and progress reports to track client outcomes
Qualifications:
  • Eligible for membership or current membership with a relevant professional body
  • A driver's license and suitable vehicle
  • A passion for working in the community
  • An interest in working with adults with neurological conditions
  • Self-motivated lifelong learner who is open to feedback
  • Able to work autonomously and seek support when required
  • Client-centred and collaborative clinician
