About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Sustainability and ESG Transformation to join our team at Bluefin Resources. As a key member of our ESG practice, you will be responsible for advising clients on value-creating sustainable solutions and executing advisory services, including Sustainability and ESG strategy, materiality, roadmap development, and transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients from a range of sectors on value-creating sustainable solutions, leveraging your expertise in Sustainability and ESG.
  • Execute advisory services, including Sustainability and ESG strategy, materiality, roadmap development, and transformation, to support clients' ESG aspirations.
  • Develop client strategies and execute bespoke solutions to address client ESG opportunities and challenges, working closely with senior and C-Suite stakeholders.
  • Liaise with client senior management and C-Suite and Boards to ensure objectives are met and risks are mitigated, demonstrating your ability to form strong working relationships with market-leading clients.
  • Understand and apply the firm's quality and professional delivery standards required to deliver assurance services, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Develop externally facing material about the ESG practice, such as articles and presentations, and contribute to capability building internally through the development of tools and training.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members as they equip themselves to become trusted advisors of the future, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Responsible for maintaining client relationships as required, including involvement in the initial planning meeting, maintaining proper regular contact, and identifying issues to be resolved and actions required.
  • Management of workflow and delegation of work to appropriate staff, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently, meet technical standards, and are within deadlines and budgets.
  • Work with Partners, industry teams, and service lines to research, identify, track, and manage activity with selected target organisations, driving business growth and development.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of Sustainability and ESG, executing solutions for clients in response to ESG challenges, with a strong track record of delivery.
  • Strong generalist consulting experience across multiple sectors and engagement types gained within leading professional services firms, with a proven ability to form strong working relationships with senior and C-Suite stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience working with senior and C-Suite stakeholders across a broad range of clients and industries, with a strong understanding of business operations and transformation.
  • Business development, bids, and complex proposal management experience, with a proven ability to drive business growth and development.
  • Experience in sizing engagements, including scoping the skills and experience required, team structure, and supporting pricing framework for delivery, with a strong understanding of client needs and expectations.
  • Ability to form strong working relationships with market-leading clients to support their ESG aspirations, with a strong understanding of client needs and expectations.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in consulting and project management in relation to transformation, strategy, and business operations, with a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
