  • Our Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 7D7N14R FIFO ex. Perth and Busselton

As a Heavy Diesel Fitter at Fortescue's Solomon Project, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimising Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) critical to our operations, ensuring they operate efficiently and in alignment with our ambitious sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of large-scale Mobile Mining Equipment, CAT 793 Experience preferred
  • Diagnostics and fault finding.
  • Workshop and pit duties as required.
  • Work in collaboratively with all mobile maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance.
  • Ensure Fortescue and site operations procedures and policies are followed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate as a Heavy Duty (HD) Fitter or Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME).
  • Previous experience working in the mining industry.
  • Experience with mobile plant equipment.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
