The Role of a Financial Leader


About the Job

We are seeking an accomplished financial professional to join our organization as a Financial Manager.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the financial close process, including journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts of fixed assets.
  • Develop forecasts for capital expenditures throughout the fiscal year.
  • Liaise with external advisors on annual tax returns and other compliance matters.
  • Support strategic projects as required.
  • Oversee the inventory accounting process, focusing on process controls, cost control actions, automation, and analysis of business results.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, plans, and forecasts to senior management, including variance analysis and cost control reporting.
  • Chair the Plant Performance Review Meeting with local and US management.
  • Supervise two direct reports, including an Assistant Accountant and Payroll Administrator.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position within manufacturing.
  • A graduate degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
  • Data management and analytical skills.
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems and Excel, preferably with SAP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivation to drive change and challenge existing practices.
  • A strong sense of integrity, morals, and business ethics.
